Introduction

Johann Wilhelm Meigen (1764–1845), one of the founding fathers of dipterology, is the inspiration behind this blog. In forthcoming posts, I will attempt to engage his sprit and what comes forth onto this blog may include short biographies of dipterists, bibliographic matters, and other historical notes - as well as any other interesting observations concerning Diptera and dipterology that may be of interest.
